I Love Collegedale
Published August 7th, 2004 in MiscellanyI live in Collegedale, TN, and I love it. I’ll tell you why.
This morning I noticed that my keys weren’t in any of their usual resting places. The last time I remembered seeing them was after playing racquetball last night. While I’ve never lost a set of keys, it isn’t unusual for me to misplace them, and I didn’t need to go anywhere so I ignored it.
Tonight, I needed to go to the grocery store and again realized that my keys were missing. I searched more thoroughly, but no luck. I decided that they might be in the car, so I gathered my things and went outside. As soon as I walked around the car I saw them; My car was locked and the keys were hanging from the lock in the driver’s-side door. My car was parked in front of my apartment with the door (hanging keys and all) facing the road for almost a full day.
I love Collegedale.
I like Collegedale for the same reason, but aren’t you inviting trouble? I mean, to say that Collegedale is such a safe and crime-free place is like an advertisement to criminals, isn’t it? For the criminals who may have read this entry that way, Collegedale is not your town… it is swarming with bored police officers.
Criminals read my blog? How exciting!
